He made us feel very welcome and pointed out great places to eat etc. Big plus ....no stag or hen parties. This really was a great find and we would and have recommended it to friends and family. I can finally leave my pra** of the Oak Tree Lodge where I have stayed on three seperate visits to Whitley Bay in the last couple of years. Sonya and Andy's hospitality and friendlieness knows no bounds and they have contributed to many happy memories that me and my golf club , supporters club and pensioners club have spent in the Oak Tree Lodge. Hopefully I will return this summer with one of the groups that I am involved with and I am sure that the welcome will be as great as it always is...a lovely , lovely couple who are a pleasure to deal with. Gaynor, Connie, Steve & Glynis From: Website: E-mail: g.wilsher@virgin.net	We were very pleased with the standard of rooms which were clean and comfortable and it was a pleasure to find the bathrooms in excellent order - Clean & Fresh and no mould in sight!!! It has a nice lounge and bar and is convenient for both beach and metro. We would definately recommend and stay again when next in the area. Andrew & Sonia were excellent Hosts......... Oaktree Lodge is ideally situated,being only a minute way from the sea front and beautiful sands,and less than 5 minutes from the town centre and Metro station. First class accommodation and excellent breakfasts,in clean and spotless surroundings. Also able to use our Bus pa** on all local transport(but not the Metro)with good connections to both Newcastle and coastal towns. Everyone is so friendly "Up North".Will be returning as we have not yet visited Beamish. The local markets are a must,especially Tynemouth's Sunday market in the Metro Station itself only 5 minutes away. Will recommend you to all friends and Family Added: September 23, 2008
