We were made to feel very welcome when we arrived at your excellent hotel. The room was spotless and very inviting after our long journey. We would not hesitate to recomend a stay with you, the breakfast was excellent especially as it was locally sourced, although I didnot need to eat for a day or two. Ian & Linda Downes From: Scotland Website: E-mail: ianinstantservice@yahoo.co.uk	After VERY bad experiences at other hotels/guest houses it was a real pleasure to stay with Sonia and Andrew. The whole place is very clean, welcoming and modern. Andrew & Sonia were helpful in the extreem and full of advice on where to eat and visit etc. We will definately visit them again in future. My wife and I felt that both Sonia and Andrew couldn't do enough for us and provided that personal touch that you just don't find anywhere else. One note though, if you want a doss house, don't stay at the Oaktree, but if you want quality, this should be your first and ONLY stop in Whitley Bay. Added: December 13, 2009

Thank you for being great hosts, you both made us feel very welcome. Family room clean,well decorated, spacious and comfortable. Breakfast great and adequate portion. Nice lounge and bar. I was treated as almost part of the furniture and also part of their family community I can only say that there are always people who have an affect on your life, travels and the oaktree lodge will always hold fond memories for me, not only for the type of people Andrew and Sonia are but the kindness and hospitality they have shown me during my stay with them. I have tried other accommodation while staying in Whitley Bay but the truth is there is no where better to stay (I still miss Andrews Breakfasts!) This is a genuine, clean and welcoming place to stay but dont be suprised if you feel a little sad when you leave. All the best to Whitley Bays best accommodation and all who sail in her! Ian & Agnes From: Wigan Website: E-mail:	Andrew and Sonia are extremely good hosts who make you feel welcome and very knowledgeable of the area. Bedrooms were immaculate,well decorated, and very comfortable. The breakfast was excellant and more than adequate. In a quiet location the Oaktree Lodge Hotel is ideally situated. The Metro Railway Station is only 5 minutes away as is the town centre of Whitley Bay and promenade. The area is a good base for travelling to places like Alnwick, Bamburgh, Durham, Newcastle (best by train). The countryside is very scenic around this part of the country. We were lucky having good weather during our stay. Would thoroughly recommend. Added: August 20, 2009

Tina & Robin From: Edinburgh Website: E-mail:	This Really is (THE PERFECT STAY) in Whitley Bay! All Reviews are So True. Clean, Fresh and Spacious rooms & the En-Suite Shwr rm/toilet is gr8. Tasty breakfast to start the day. Modern lovely bar area with very comfy leather chairs is perfect for relaxing. The loccation couldn't be any better. Just step off the Metro, 2 min walk to the Oaktree Lodge, Which is on the street leading down to the beach fab. Also only a 3 min walk to the town centre.
